The prize is endowed with 15.000 Euros and will be awarded to a piece included in the exhibit “Weaving Echoes” presenting work by master students at the University of the Arts Bremen.
“Weaving Echoes,” the current exhibition for master students at the Gerhard-Marcks-Haus, will close on July 17. Visitors can experience the full spectrum of contemporary art including painting, ceramics, sculpture, as well as site-specific interventions, works in sound and spacial- and video installations.
One of these works will be decorated with the Karin-Hollweg-Preis at the gallery on July 14 at 6.30 pm. The prize is one of the most prestigious and also comes with the highest monetary award among all of the advancement awards given out by art academies and universities in Germany.
