Preservation by Design – New Aspects of Design for Sustainable Development
Prof. Reinhard Komar, Oldenburg, Germany, gives a keynote speech about preservation of cultural heritage through design at Tongji University, Shanghai.
At the invitation of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, the International Association for Science and Technology of Building Maintenance and the Preservation of Monuments WTA and the WHITRAP World Heritage Institute of Training and Research – Asia and Pacific, Shanghai, on 26th of September, 2013, Prof. hc HEBIC Prof. Dipl.-Des. Reinhard Komar gives a lecture entitled "Preservation by Design – New Apects of Design for Sustainable Development".
The lecture is scheduled as a keynote speech to an International conference on sustainable building restoration and revitalisation. Professor Komar is a chairman of a department on research and theory. Guests from 10 nations around the world have registered. The lecture will be published along with other contributions from Tongji University.
Tongji University is one of the most prestigious universities in the People's Republic of China. As a university supervised directly by the Chinese Ministry of Education the Tongji is one of 33 key universities that are slated to become world-renowned universities as part of the government excellence program 985.
