„City of the Future“ News: idw acts as media partner of Science Year 2015
Informationsdienst Wissenschaft (idw) acts as media partner of Science Year 2015 “City of the Future”. To the end of 2015, idw will revise press releases to short news for the website of SY2015 <http://www.wissenschaftsjahr-zukunftsstadt.de>, an initiative launched by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
The press releases stem from idw member institutions, and are selected by the Ministry’s project manager, DLR. idw is responsible for editing selected press releases for SY2015’s website and its Twitter channel.
It was last year when idw started working as a media partner for Science Year 2014 „The Digital Society“. That was the first time idw ventured into the field of editorial services since its founding exactly 20 years ago.
idw (idw-online.de), founded in 1995, is the news portal for up-to-date information from science and research. It brings together the scientific community and the public by publishing news items and schedules of events from its member institutions and by distributing them to more than 33,000 subscribers, including 7,300 journalists. In addition, it offers an expert recruitment service, which enables journalists to find suitable scientists for their subjects. idw members include 923 universities, colleges, research institutes, national research institutions, ministries and foundations in twelve countries across Europe.
