WHU Appoints Professor Dr. Jane Lê
On January 1, 2018, Professor Dr. Jane Lê joined the faculty of WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. She was appointed to the Chair of Strategic Management. Her focus is on strategizing activities and practices within and between organizations.
She is particularly interested in how organizations operating in complex environments successfully meet multiple competing strategic goals simultaneously. Professor Lê also has a passion for understanding how multiple firms strategize collectively to address grand challenges like energy security. She ranks among the leading researchers in the strategy-as-practice community.
“We are delighted to be gaining Professor Dr. Jane Lê as an expert for strategic management for WHU. Her international profile will be an asset for WHU and contribute to greater diversity in the faculty,” Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf, Dean of WHU, stated.
Professor Dr. Jane Lê received her Ph.D. in Management from the Aston Business School in Birmingham, UK where she worked for five years. She then moved to the University of Sydney Business School, Australia, where she most recently worked as Associate Professor and held a prestigious Australian Research Council Discovery Project on the human side of energy security.
Professor Dr. Jane Lê is an expert in qualitative research methods. She has published in leading international scientific journals, among them Organization Science, Organization Studies, the British Journal of Management, and the International Journal of Human Resource Management. She is a member of the Editorial Boards of Organization Studies and Organizational Research Methods, and co-edits the book series Research Methodology in Strategy and Management.
