University of Bremen: Spaces Still Available for Study Programs
The admission procedure for the 2018/19 winter semester at the University of Bremen is in full swing. In some degree courses, spontaneous applicants can apply for a spot until September 15, 2018. In addition to a wide range of study opportunities with the final goal of a bachelor’s degree, there are still vacancies in four master’s degree courses.
Thousands of applicants currently have the opportunity to secure their place at the University of Bremen: July 15, 2018, was the application deadline for almost all degree courses. In some degree courses, however, some spaces are still available. In total, the University of Bremen offers space for around 5,500 freshmen.
Good Chance for a Spot for First Degrees
Last week, the University of Bremen submitted around 7,000 so-called degree course offers to future bachelor students and those taking the state law examination. These can be viewed and accepted via Germany’s nationwide platform hochschulstart.de. The application portal prevents multiple admissions for the participating degree courses. Applicants who do not yet have a degree course offer may still advance to an admission rank within the next two weeks – applicants can find the corresponding information at hochschulstart.de.
Even if this path is ultimately not successful, the University of Bremen still offers attractive study opportunities, for example in Computer Science, English, or Vocational Education. An overview of registration, which is possible between September 1 and 15, and available spots in the bachelor’s degree courses can be found here: www.uni-bremen.de/studium/noch-freie-studienplätze/noch-freie-bachelor-studienplätze/
Spots Still Available in Four Master’s Programs
Admission is granted on a gradual basis to first-year students in master’s programs – whenever the selection committees have completed their work. Enrollment is still possible until September 15 in the following master’s degree courses:
• Art History and Film Studies
• Process-Oriented Materials Research (ProMat)
• Musicology
• International Romance Studies
