TU9 Universities take top positions in QS World University Ranking in engineering and the natural sciences
Seven TU9 Universities among Top 150
In the current QS World University Ranking, TU9 Universities once again perform particularly well in the engineering and natural science subjects. TU9 Universities are thus among the world’s best universities.
In the subject area of "Engineering and Technology", the Technical University of Munich (25th place), the Technische Universität Berlin (45th place), RWTH Aachen University (51st place) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (68th place) are among the top one hundred universities worldwide. With the Technische Universität Dresden, the Technical University of Darmstadt and the University of Stuttgart, a total of seven TU9 Universities are among the top 150.
In the subject area of "Natural Sciences" seven TU9 Universities are also among the top 150 universities in the world.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfram Ressel, TU9 President and Rector of the University of Stuttgart, is pleased about the top performance of the TU9 Universities: "The QS Ranking shows once again that the TU9 Universities are global competitors and have an excellent international reputation.
The QS World University Rankings assesses universities using six performance indicators, which each carry a different weighting when calculating overall scores. These indicators are: academic reputation (40%), employer reputation (10%), student-to-faculty ratio (20%), research citations per faculty member (20%), proportion of international faculty (5%) and proportion of international students (5%).
