Max Planck Institute for Chemistry strongly represented amongst the world´s Highly Cited Researchers
Five researchers from the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry belong to the “Global Highly Cited Researchers”. Their names appear on the 2021 list published this week by the information and technology company Clarivate Analytics on the basis of the publication database "Web of Science". According to Institute for Scientific Information™ at Clarivate, Highly Cited Researchers™ have demonstrated significant and broad influence reflected in their publication of multiple highly cited papers over the last decade (2011-2020), as they have been widely cited in the scientific community.
The five Highly Cited Researchers 2021 from the Max Institute for Chemistry are:
Meinrat O. Andreae, Director emeritus of the former Biogeochemistry Department (Award Category: Geosciences)
Yafang Cheng, Head of the Minerva Research Group for Aerosols, Air Quality and Climate (Award Category: Cross-field)
Jos Lelieveld, Director of the Atmospheric Chemistry Department (Award Category: Cross-field)
Ulrich Pöschl, Director of the Multiphase Chemistry Department (Award Category: Geosciences)
Hang Su, Research group leader Aerosol, Cloud and Surface Interactions in the Multiphase Chemistry Department (Award Category: Geosciences)
The annual list recognizes some 6,600 researchers, or about 0.1% of the world researchers, in 21 research field and across multiple fields from across the globe. The names of the "Highly Cited Researchers" are drawn from publications that rank in the top 1% of citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science™.
Of the 331 "Highly Cited Researchers" in Germany, 70 come from the Max Planck Society.
