Grants for Journalists Attending the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (25–30 June 2023, Physiology/Medicine)
Journalists who would like to cover the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting may apply for travel grants. The Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings will compensate accommodation for up to five nights and the travel costs of selected grant recipients.

Journalists who would like to cover the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting may apply for travel grants. This year’s meeting will be dedicated to the discipline of Physiology/Medicine.
#LINO23, the first completely on-site meeting since 2019 in regard of media participation, will take place 25–30 June 2023 in the Inselhalle Lindau, Germany. The Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings will compensate accommodation for up to five nights and the travel costs of selected grant recipients.
72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting
Key topics of the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting besides current research in the field of Physiology or Medicine will include biomedical sciences, artificial intelligence, new therapeutic approaches at the gene, cell and molecular level, diversity in science as well as the impact of climate change on health. A preliminary programme will be available online in April 2023.
This year, more than 600 young scientists from around 100 countries will meet more than 30 Nobel Laureates, including some of the most recent recipients of the Nobel Prize. Host country of the International Day is the Republic of Indonesia.
The programme will include numerous Lectures, Panel Discussions and Agora Talks. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities for informal exchange with the meeting participants on the fringes of the sessions as well as during the social events. The communications team can arrange interview appointments for journalists with Nobel Laureates, Young Scientists and guests.

The application form requires:
• your specific interest in the meeting and its participants
• your plans for coverage (type and extent of work produced)
• the media outlet where you aim to publish your articles/pieces
• your social media handles by which you promote the coverage
• CV summary for your professional experience/current position
• links to 2–3 samples of your work
Timeline
The application deadline is 15 March 2023. Applicants will be notified of the results by the beginning of April.

COVID-19 at #LINO23
The 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting is planned as an in-person event, for all participants and guests to take place on site in Lindau. For the time being, we anticipate minimal disruption from COVID-19 this summer. No particular requirements regarding media representatives are in place from our side. We strongly recommend that all participants are vaccinated. Please note that additional requirements may be in place regarding travel and immigration. Precaution measures and requirements may be adapted should the situation change significantly.
