Open Campus Event of IU Interational University of Applied Sciences throughout Germany
On 12 June 2024, IU International University of Applied Sciences invites prospective students and regional companies at all study locations to get to know campus life.
On 12 June, IU International University of Applied Sciences (IU) will be opening its doors at all its campuses from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. to anyone interested in a dual study programme or myStudium. Regional companies looking for potential talent are also welcome to attend. IU staff, lecturers and students will be on hand to share their experiences and provide insights into life at Germany's largest university. They will show how theory and practice can be optimally combined in the dual study programme, what flexible options myStudium offers and how varied learning is organised with digital tools, virtual lectures and face-to-face events.
In individual consultation sessions, prospective students will receive detailed information on the career opportunities offered by studying at IU and the ideal choice of degree programme. Visitors have the opportunity to explore all campus facilities on guided tours. In addition to the informative content, there will be various hands-on activities, competitions, snacks and drinks. At the end of the event, all participants will receive a certificate of participation on request.
About dual study programme at IU
The dual study programme at IU offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience in a regional company in addition to theoretical lectures and seminars. This model allows students to apply their acquired knowledge directly into practice in a split-week model. The theoretical part of the study programme can be completed in different ways: traditionally on-site at the campus, through online teaching or also independently of a location via our virtual campus.
About myStudium at IU
The full-time programme with up to three professionally guided tutorials per week offers maximum flexibility, as students can decide each quarter whether to complete their myStudium virtually or at one of IU locations. Regardless of their location, students benefit from interactive courses in small learning groups with practice-orientated teaching staff. The AI learning assistant Syntea (https://www.iu.de/en/syntea/) gives students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in a targeted manner and receive answers to questions about the script around the clock, which are verified by IU lecturers. In this way, students receive optimal support in order to study successfully, fulfil their individual life situations and be optimally prepared for the future world of work.
Advantages of studying at IU:
• No numerus clausus: motivation is what counts here, not the grade point average. It is therefore possible to start your chosen degree programme at IU without a numerus clausus or entrance exam.
• Study in small groups: There are no overcrowded lecture rooms here! Instead, the programme takes place in small groups and in a personal atmosphere, which makes it possible to ask questions at any time, actively participate and benefit from a greater learning effect.
• Top-level quality: IU is a state-recognised and accredited private University of Applied Sciences. As Germany's largest private University of Applied Sciences, IU has been creating the most innovative educational formats and programmes for more than 20 years.
• Personal learning AI: The AI learning assistant Syntea accompanies students at IU successfully through their studies and helps them to critically reflect on and better understand content as well as test their personal knowledge progress - around the clock.
