HSBA launches international Hamburg MBA
In the academic year 2025/26, HSBA will launch an internationally oriented Master of Business Administration (MBA) that provides young professionals and academically qualified people with fundamental business knowledge, methodological skills and important soft skills to qualify them for further career steps in business. Thanks to the close links between the HSBA and Hamburg's business community and the experienced professors, the teaching is both practice-oriented and academically demanding. The full-time version of the new MBA programme lasts one year, and a part-time version is also offered over two years.
‘With the Hamburg MBA, students are not only investing in education, but also positioning themselves to succeed in today's global business world,’ said Prof. Dr. Tim Goydke, President of the Hamburg School of Business Administration, about the new programme. ’Whether it's advancing in their current field or transitioning into a new industry, our programme provides the tools, network and opportunities young professionals need to succeed.’
As a global business centre, Hamburg offers numerous opportunities for exchange with innovative companies and thought leaders in various industries. Through its close connection to more than 300 partner companies based in northern Germany, HSBA offers a particularly application-oriented study programme that is aligned with the needs and interests of the business community.
The new MBA programme at HSBA is aimed at a global audience and is taught in English. The diverse student body enriches learning through intercultural exchange. Optional offers such as participation in a study trip, German language courses, a mentoring programme and, last but not least, individual support make the Hamburg MBA a unique experience.
‘The Hamburg MBA programme teaches important entrepreneurial and leadership skills, as well as a global mindset and a set of values that prepare our students to achieve sustainable, long-term success around the world,’ explains programme director Prof. Dr. Katja Starken. ’I am very much looking forward to the start of the programme next year.’
The prerequisites for the English-language programme include good language skills, a first university degree and at least one year of relevant professional experience. Applications are accepted from now on.
