AWSi Showcases: Office-on-Wheel at HM2025
At Hannover Messe 2025, AWSi (August Wind Systems India) presented its “Office-on-Wheel” concept — a fully equipped mobile workplace. Built into a vehicle, it includes ergonomic workstations, high-speed internet, solar panels, and smart climate control. Designed for use in remote or underserved areas, it enables flexible and sustainable work environments. The project, developed with German partners, highlights Indo-German collaboration and addresses the need for mobile, eco-friendly office solutions. It attracted strong interest at the fair as a model for future work settings.
The August-Wilhelm Scheer Institut (AWSi) introduced its innovative concept Office-on-Wheel at Hannover Messe 2025. Designed as a fully mobile, energy-autonomous workspace, the solution addresses the increasing need for flexible and sustainable infrastructure.
More than a workplace, the Office-on-Wheel serves as a mobile project and research unit for decentralized applications. It enables field-based coordination, data collection, and digital collaboration—ideal for use in climate-focused and circular economy projects.
Urs Liebau, digital strategist at AWSi, emphasized the potential for deployment in bioeconomic value chains, such as insect farming, regenerative agriculture, and biomass utilization. In particular, AWSi explores synergies with partners in Hyderabad, India’s growing hub for sustainable farming and digital innovation. The vehicle can support mobile monitoring, training, and coordination directly on-site—without relying on fixed infrastructure.
With integrated solar power, smart climate systems, and real-time connectivity, the Office-on-Wheel exemplifies how digital transformation can be aligned with ecological responsibility.
