2026 Grant Program of the Schram-Stiftung: Call for Proposal Submission
The Schram-Stiftung (Schram Foundation) awards up to three research grants in the field of fundamental neuroscience.
The Schram Foundation supports curiosity-driven research in basic neuroscience. Ideal projects are innovative and daring and involve novel techniques.
Funding is intended to support early career researchers (junior group leaders, first-time appointed professors or equivalent), who carry out independent research at a university or a non-university research institution in Germany and want to explore novel research avenues. Priority is given to projects that study molecular and cellular aspects of nervous system functions. The applicant’s own position cannot be funded and must be secured throughout the entire project duration.
The Foundation awards up to EUR 120,000/year for a maximum of three years (EUR 360,000 in total) to cover the costs for staff, scientific equipment, supplies, travel, and other expenses in a flexible manner.
Before submitting your application, please read the application guidelines carefully. You can download them from our website (http://www.schram-stiftung.de) or request them by e-mail (schram@stifterverband.de).
