VivaTech 2026: Cyberagentur Goes Europe
International Innovation Fair
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) will participate in VivaTech in Paris from June 17 to 20, 2026. At the German joint booth, Pavilion 7, Booth 3F29, it will provide information on disruptive cybersecurity research, international cooperation, and investment opportunities.
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) will be represented at VivaTech 2026 in Paris. The international innovation fair officially begins on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and runs through Saturday, June 20, 2026. The kickoff event took place on the Champs-Élysées on June 14, where exhibitors presented technologies and innovations to a broad audience.
The Cyberagentur is represented at the German Federal Government’s joint booth. Visitors can find it in Pavilion 7, Booth 3F29. There, the Cyberagentur provides interactive insights into its work, presents its research approach, and explains how disruptive cybersecurity research is developed from the initial idea through to the early laboratory stage.
The focus is on discussions with international stakeholders from academia, industry, startup ecosystems, and government innovation structures. The Cyberagentur demonstrates how interested international parties can participate in research programs. This includes, in particular, research institutions, companies, and consortia that wish to contribute technological approaches with high innovation potential to early-stage cybersecurity research.
“Cybersecurity does not emerge in isolation. Anyone who wants to strengthen digital sovereignty in the long term needs international cooperation, scientific excellence, and the courage to anticipate technological risks early on,” says Prof. Dr. Christian Hummert, Scientific Director and Managing Director of the Cyberagentur. “VivaTech offers a strong, international environment for this. We want to explain there how our research programs work and how international partners with compelling ideas can get involved.”
Another highlight of the program is a keynote address by Dr. Julian Laufs, Head of the Partner and Knowledge Management Division, in which he will introduce the Cyberagentur. The presentation will cover the agency’s mission, areas of focus, and working methods. At the trade show, the Cyberagentur will demonstrate how research with high disruptive potential in cybersecurity is financed.
VivaTech is also relevant for the Cyberagentur because Germany will play a special role in the international exhibition in 2026. Under the umbrella of the joint German “ ,” spaces will be created for exchange, visibility, and concrete discussions on European and international innovation cooperation. For the Cyberagentur, this is a suitable framework for positioning cybersecurity research as a strategic task for the future.

Background: Cyberagentur
The Agentur für Innovation in der Cybersicherheit GmbH (Cyberagentur) was founded in 2020 by the German Federal Government as a wholly owned in-house entity of the German Federal Government under the joint leadership of the German Federal Ministry of Defence and the German Ministry of the Interior, with the aim of adopting an application-strategy-oriented and interministerial perspective on internal and external security in the field of cybersecurity. Against this backdrop, the work of the Cyberagentur is primarily aimed at the institutionalized implementation of highly innovative projects that carry a high risk with regard to achieving their objectives but, at the same time, have the potential to cause significant disruption if successful.
The Cyberagentur is an integral part of the National Security Strategy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Cyberagentur is led by Prof. Dr. Christian Hummert as Scientific Director and Bettina Bubnys as Commercial Director.
