Kühne Logistics University offers scholarships to AGA and Logistik Initiative Hamburg Members
Hanseatic Collaboration: Kühne Logistics University offers scholarships to AGA Business Association and Logistik Initiative Hamburg members. Application deadline: March 30, 2013.
The AGA Business Association and Logistik Initiative Hamburg (LIHH) are collaborating with Kühne Logistics University on a special project. The application phase for the Bachelor of Management program, which is kicking off in September, has started. To mark the occasion, KLU is offering scholarships to all AGA and LIHH member companies.
Both associations have extensive networks, and KLU believes they will be powerful, valuable partners for this project. The university would like to support potential students in the Management and Logistics faculties and create an incentive to consider enrolling in the program. This offer is especially interesting for outstanding trainees and employees who do not have a degree but desire a career in this area. KLU sees great potential in mid-sized companies and an opportunity to offer employees long-term prospects.
Performance-oriented personalities from member companies – employees whose accumulated work experience, internships, languages and additional qualifications make them outstanding – are eligible for an AGA or LIHH stipendium. The basic prerequisites are a solid secondary school certificate, English language proficiency, and a bright, inquisitive personality. The 3-year, full-time course is held completely in English and students can major in the areas of Management and Logistics. Degree candidates are required to complete an internship and study at one of KLU’s international partner universities for a semester. Applicants will apply for acceptance to the course first, and for the scholarship in a second step.
KLU is also offering its own scholarships for the Bachelor in Management program and the Master’s program. “We are aware that tuition payments may pose a problem for some high school graduates,” said Dr. Reimar Palte, KLU chancellor. “To make it easier, we are providing scholarships. We look forward to receiving applications from high school graduates with well-developed personalities and CV that reflect their commitment and interest.”
The university is also offering additional, partial scholarships for the part-time “Leadership & Logistics” Executive MBA program targeted to specialists and mangers in the logistics area. The prerequisites for acceptance are a completed first degree, a minimum of five years of professional experience, and some management experience.
